Jamie Foxx’s recent hospitalisation following a “medical complication” may have been a cause for concern for his fans, but the actor is said to be doing much better and is even cracking jokes with his family.

The 55-year-old was rushed to the hospital earlier this week while filming for his upcoming Netflix comedy, Back in Action, which co-stars Cameron Diaz. Sources have told TMZ that Jamie is “doing a lot better” and that doctors are still running tests to determine the cause of his medical emergency.

Jamie’s daughter, Corinne, took to Instagram to update fans on her father’s condition, stating that he received “great care” and is on the road to recovery. She also thanked fans for their prayers and asked for privacy during this time.

The actor has received an outpouring of support from his celebrity friends, including Kerry Washington and LeBron James, who sent their thoughts and prayers to Jamie and his family.

Jamie was in Atlanta for the Netflix comedy Back in Action, which also stars Cameron Diaz. After almost ten years, Cameron is making his first appearance in a movie.Andrew Scott is a second cast member. Jamie Demetriou and Seth Gordon, with whom Jamie collaborated on Horrible Bosses, are the directors.

Jamie has had a successful career in Hollywood, winning an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the biopic, Ray. He has also starred in several popular films, including Django Unchained, Annie, Jarhead, and the Spider-Man franchise.

 

Fans will be eagerly awaiting news of Jamie’s full recovery, as he reportedly has eight unfinished working days left on his latest film. However, for now, it seems that the actor is taking things in stride and focusing on his health and well-being.
