Nottingham Trent University has announced plans to expand its presence in London by establishing a new campus for its Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.

The campus will be located in the heart of the city, near the Barbican Centre and will offer a range of courses in creative arts.

The Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies is part of Nottingham Trent University’s School of Art & Design and has been providing high-quality education in creative media since 1994. The new campus in London will provide students with access to industry-standard equipment and facilities, allowing them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the creative industries.

The new campus will offer courses in music, film, gaming, and TV production, as well as degree programs in digital marketing, content creation, creative writing, entrepreneurship, and event management. The campus will also feature state-of-the-art facilities, including a performance space, a cinema, and a recording studio.

In addition to providing academic programs, the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies will also offer industry partnerships and internships to its students. This will provide them with hands-on experience in the creative industry and enable them to build valuable connections with professionals in their chosen field.

According to Nottingham Trent University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edward Peck, the new campus will provide students with exciting opportunities to study in one of the world’s most vibrant and creative cities. He added that the university is committed to providing students with the skills and experience they need to succeed in the global creative industries.

The move is part of NTU’s wider strategy to expand its presence in London and build on its successful track record of delivering industry-focused courses. The university already has a strong presence in the city through its School of Art and Design and its postgraduate courses in fashion and textiles.

The Confetti Creative Campus in London is set to open in September 2023 and is expected to attract students from across the UK and around the world, offering them access to one of the world’s most vibrant creative hubs and a range of industry partnerships that will prepare them for successful careers in the creative sector.
